Transit

Our flight was detained 1.5 hours after boarding so we arrived at Tokyo Station at a very busy tine! After exiting the Narita Express, which I clocked at a top speed of 81 mph, we transferred up the Blue Line which was very crowded. Each time the doors opened and it looked like no one else could fit, they pushed in and everyone made room somehow! Quite an experience!

Taiwan makes the most chips of anyone in the world 21%

Lam makes the machines that make the chips! Very fascinating how these machines work in nanometers to build the semiconductor chips layer by layer like a building!

Taiwan Science Parks – industry concentrated in clusters which makes it easier to do business.

David’s job at Lam is leading a team that works worldwide to buyback its own used machines from chip manufacturers to reclaim or reprocess.
